Provide a sewing machine for woman to learn tailoring

Sai Educational Rural & Urban Development Society (SERUDS)

V.Nagamani, aged 34 yrs was deserted by her husband living in urban slums of Kurnool city of Andhra Pradesh. She has no parents and no one to care for her. She desires to live separately with dignity and she needed support for her livelihood.

While implementing the programs, SERUDS observed the conditions of V.Nagamani and others who are facing similar difficulties, they planned for her rehabilitation and started providing training in tailoring & embroidery for a period of six months with the kind support under community polytechnic scheme.

Due to intervention of SERUDS, Nagamani and many others developed skills in tailoring & embroidery. They learnt to stitch clothes like blouses, petty coats, baby dresses etc., Now they are they are able to earn around Rs.100/- per day and live with dignity. And they are many more who are willing to work hard and earn their living with dignity.
